Frequently asked questions

What is creative technology?

Creative technology is a mixture of Music, Technology and Art based activities.

What kind of activities can I expect?

Our activities are different each day. However, to give you an idea, some of our activites include challenges and games based on: Coding, Robotics, Digital Art, Music, Minecraft education, Garageband, Lego builds, Craft kits, along with a wide range of break and lunch time activities including sport and art based games.

Where are children dropped off and collected?

Drop off and collection are both at the main school entrace/reception area. The camp manager will wait outside for children at the start of camp to sign them in. At the end of the day children will be signed out and collected the same way once parents have arrived.

Who are the camp staff and what are their qualifications?

All camp staff are experienced activity leaders or teachers. All the staff are DBS checked and have rigorous training before starting work with us.

What if i book and camp is cancelled?

If this happens then you will be notified one week before the start of camp and you will be refunded in full.

When will I know if camp is going ahead?

We will confirm one week before camp starts. We will notify you by email and phone.

How does group allocation work?

Children are put into groups depending on their age. We try to make numbers as even as possible. If you are coming with a sibling or friend and would like to be in the same group then we will always try to do this for you.

Can my child be in the same group as their friend/age group?

Yes, although we can't always guarantee this. We will try our best to do this depending on the numbers of children and the group sizes. If we can't then we will let you know before camp starts.

Are camps Covid-19 safe?

Yes. We are following strict guidlines and procedures outlined by the school each day. All staff are trained in these procedures and we always follow the guidance given by the school and government.

Is there a chance that the camp won't go ahead?

Yes, unfortunately, if we do not get the required number of children joining us each day then we will need to cancel the camp. This may be on specific days or in full. If this happens, you will be notified 1 week before the start of camp and you will be refunded in full.

Do you provide lunch or any food and drink?

No. Children are required to bring their own lunch and snacks with them. This includes drinks. There will be a water fountain at the school for children to use.

How many children attend camp?

The maximum number of children we have each day is 30. We may have less than this depending on how many people join each day. Each group/bubble per teacher is divided into groups of a maximum of 10 - 15 each.

Do you offer extended hours?

For parents that need it, we do offer an extended day service between 0830 and 0900 for a small additional charge of £5 per child per day. We also offer an extended day option until 1530 for the same charge of £5 per child per day.
